Talk geared toward writers, covering the importance of research when writing both fiction and nonfiction. Whether the research is for simple background when setting a scene or for detailed facts about a location or an era that will play an important part in the written piece, it is crucial to present accurate specifics. Szymanski will share her process, walking participants through the creation of several of her stories and the steps she took to find and verify information, and she’ll speak of the impact those details have had on her readers.
